Install GMLive and watch online TVs in Fedora 9
GMLive is a convenient frontend to watch mms, sopcast and nslive web streaming TV, it’s one of the best solutions to watch live videos on Linux, I just installed GMLive on my Fedora 9 desktop, it’s really cool!
Well, to install GMLive on your Fedora 9 linux system, please download the latest release of GMLive here, the latest version is 0.20.3 which you can click here and download it to your hardrive.
Before you get started, first of all, please decompress the downloaded file, and cd to the gmlive-0.20.0 directory to compile, and then executive command ./configure –prefix=/usr/local/gmlive
If the compile process stopped by the mistake below:
checking for PACKAGE… configure: error: Package requirements (gtkmm-2.4 >= 2.6.0 libglademm-2.4 >= 2.4.0 libxml-2.0 >= 2.6.0) were not met:
No package ‘gtkmm-2.4′ found
No package ‘libglademm-2.4′ found
No package ‘libxml-2.0′ found
then please intall the following packages, yum install gtkmm24 gtkmm24-devel libglademm24 libglademm24-devel libxml2 libxml2-devel
And, I searched on Google and found someone builded a RPM package of the latest GMLive, you can download it from here and then install it by execute rpm -ivh gmlive-0.20.3-6.7.src.rpm
GMLive already added most of the famous and popular Chinese TV programmes, but if you want to watch of your own, you can open a terminal and run following commands, then you can find the channel list in gmlive.
$ nslive -p 33
$ nsweb
